Welcome to Weehawken

Weehawken is a hidden gem on the Hudson River, a peaceful, residential township that offers some of the most spectacular views of the Manhattan skyline anywhere in the New York metro area, all while maintaining a calm, neighborhood feel that sets it apart from its busier neighbors, Jersey City and Hoboken.

The township is broadly divided into two distinct settings. Up on the Palisades, tree-lined streets of Victorian and Tudor-style homes, pre-war buildings, and classic two and three-family houses enjoy sweeping clifftop views of the city, while Boulevard East serves as one of the most scenic drives in all of New Jersey. Down below, the waterfront, anchored by Port Imperial and Lincoln Harbor, offers luxury condominiums, a beautifully maintained waterfront park, and a renowned restaurant row where spots like Chart House, Molos, and Blu on the Hudson draw diners from across the region for upscale dining with unrivaled Manhattan views. Notably, Weehawken has deliberately preserved its low-rise character; local planning limits high-rise construction to protect the township's famous sightlines.

The township is steeped in history. Hamilton Park marks the site of the legendary 1804 duel between Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr, and the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway connects Weehawken seamlessly to Hoboken and Jersey City to the south.

For commuters, Weehawken offers what many consider a true trifecta. NY Waterway ferries from Port Imperial and Lincoln Harbor reach Midtown Manhattan in under 10 minutes; express NJ Transit buses reach the Port Authority Bus Terminal in approximately 15 to 20 minutes; and the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail connects to Hoboken and the PATH network. For drivers, the Lincoln Tunnel provides near-instant access to Midtown.
